Alipus started out as a social project to show the world the rich variety of producers and agave. All from Oxoaca, there are 8 families producing mezcal all using traditional techniques and methods, which showcases the agave and the terroir of the land. San Andres uses 2 different varietals of agave in this bottling. It is a mezcal that is great when sipped neat or as part of a smoky cocktail. This mezcal also has a roasted agave nose, with caramel and white flowers, while on the palate you get a caramelized fruit flavour with mint, oak and nice acidity, ending with a nice lingering finish of oak and fruit.
