Back in 1968, Glenfarclas was the first distillery ever to release a barrel-proof whisky. The '105' refers to the old British proof that now equates to 60% abv. The whisky retains the classic sherry-forward flavours associated with Glenfarclas, but with the power of extra alcohol. A big sherry nose with apple, pears and oak. Complex already. The palate is dry with lots of different nutty notes and a lingering spice and oak. The finish is long with a hint of smoke. Recommended with a drop of water.
