The last working Hacienda to be built, Herradura are the only ones to make their own barrels. They also age a lot longer than the industry standard. The Plata (silver or blanco) is aged for 45 days, and the longer ageing makes for a straw-coloured tequila. Roasted agave and a touch of citrus is apparent on the nose. More agave and black pepper spice on the palate. Creamy texture and long agave towards a long finish. Great in a margarita. Pairs perfectly with East Imperial Yuzu Lemonade.
