This unusual liqueur is made using a creme de cacao base with the addition of absinthe botanicals, based on a recipe they found from the original distillery dating back to the 1920s. The nose has equal measures of chocolate and wormwood, both sweet and complex. The palate predominates with absinthe, but fades into the chocolate. Not too sweet with lots of fennel and some caramel flavours in the background. A pleasant finish. Serve neat or in more unusual drinks.
