James Bond fans will recognize the word 'Lillet' as one of the ingredients in the iconic Vesper martini. Lillet (pronounced “li-lay”) is an aperitif known as “tonic wine”, because it contains quinine. Launched in 2012, Lillet Rose was Lillet’s first new product since Lillet Rouge in 1962, and is made from a blend of white Grand Cru Bordeaux grape varietals blended with liqueurs and matured in oak casks. Champagne-like nose with red berry fruits and orange blossom and grapefruit. A light acidic palate balanced with berry fruits, citrus and honey. Pleasant light tannins too. A citrus oak finish. Great served on ice.
