Made by the famous Camareno Family and Tomas Estes, Ocho has gained world recognition amongst tequila lovers and bartenders alike. Agave plants take years to grow to maturity before they are ready to be harvested – anything from 5 till 10 years. The plants for this 2015 release are 7 years old. Once made into tequila, it is then aged for more than 12 months in an ex-American whiskey barrel. Fresh and minty on the nose with a lovely toasted charred note. The charred notes are apparent on the palate, with vegetal earthiness that follows through. Long finish.
