Douglas Laing has been independantly bottling Scotch since 1948, and have several ranges that include blended malts, blended whiskies, single malts, and single grain. The Old Particular range consists of single cask malt or grain whiskies sourced from highly-sought after distilleries from all over Scotland, all non-chill filtered, with no added colouring and bottled at natural cask strength. A cult favourite amongst whisky lovers, Craigellachie has a history dating back to 1891. This lovely 12 Year Old single cask release has a sweet barley nose with freshly cut grass, while on the palate, you get honey with orange marmalade and cinnamon spice. The finish has juicy malt quality, green fruits and a ripe pear. Almost aperitif-like!
