Douglas Laing has been independantly bottling Scotch since 1948, and have several ranges that include blended malts, blended whiskies, single malts, and single grain. The Old Particular range consists of single cask malt or grain whiskies sourced from highly-sought after distilleries from all over Scotland, all non-chill filtered, with no added colouring and bottled at natural cask strength. Glengoyne is known for a bright, complex yet delicate style of whisky, and this 12YO single cask is testament to that. Only 351 bottles were released. An unusual nose of salted butter and kumquats. The palate has hints of apple pie and poached pear with a dash of nutmeg gives it some spice. The finish of bread, malt and barley.
