Douglas Laing has been independently bottling Scotch since 1948, and have several ranges that include blended malts, blended whiskies, single malts, and single grain. The Old Particular range consists of single cask malt or grain whiskies sourced from highly-sought after distilleries from all over Scotland, all non-chill filtered, with no added colouring and bottled at natural cask strength. This 12-year-old Jura single cask malt has a nose of white coffee, dried stone fruits and a touch of white pepper. On the palate this whisky has hints of dried grape, sour currants, vanilla and soft oak. The finish is delicate of cocoa and allspice.
