Douglas Laing has been independently bottling Scotch since 1948, and have several ranges that include blended malts, blended whiskies, single malts, and single grain. The Old Particular range consists of single cask malt or grain whiskies sourced from highly-sought after distilleries from all over Scotland, all non-chill filtered, with no added colouring and bottled at natural cask strength. Loch Lomond is arguably Scotland's most versatile distillery, able to produce eight different styles of whisky at the same location, including a single grain, which is what we get in this 315-bottle single cask release. On the nose, sweet candy, candied fruit and bananas. The banana is very present on the palate, with pear also adding to the fruitiness. Touches of lemon add a fresh note. The finish is of spice and toffee. Enjoy with dessert!
