Douglas Laing has been independantly bottling Scotch since 1948, and have several ranges that include blended malts, blended whiskies, single malts, and single grain. The Old Particular range consists of single cask malt or grain whiskies sourced from highly-sought after distilleries from all over Scotland, all non-chill filtered, with no added colouring and bottled at natural cask strength. Known as 'The Beast Of Dufftown", Mortlach enjoys cult status amongst whisky connoisseurs thanks to its unique robust spirit. Only 367 bottles of this single cask release were produced. It has a sweet nose of honey, biscuits and sugar, with a palate of buttery flaky pastry with baking spices like cinnamon, clove nutmeg and faint heat of pepper. A finish of toffee and lemon.
