This rum from Plantation has spent 9 years aging in bourbon and sherry casks. It was then shipped to Cognac where it spent a further 3 years in Cognac barrels. A big nose with lots of spice and tropical fruits. The palate brings oaky spice, tropical fruits and touches of tobacco smoke. The finish has allspice, caramel and pineapple. Delicious on its own or mixed in a cocktail.
