Plantation Pineapple comes from the minds of Alexander Gabriel and David Wondrich. When first released, it started picking up awards and was so highly sought after that it quickly went into commercial production. The method to make it isn't easy. Pineapple rinds are left to infuse in the Plantation 3 Stars, and then distilled. The flesh of the fruit is then left to infused in the Plantation Original Dark. The two rums are then blended together. The nose is smoky with pineapples, tropical fruits, citrus peel and cloves. The taste is of grilled pineapple, banana, demerara sugar and woody spices like cinnamon and clove. The finish is long with fruit, spice and zest. Great in mixed drinks or on ice.
