Douglas Laing has been independently bottling Scotch since 1948, and have several ranges that include blended malts, blended whiskies, single malts, and single grain. The Provenance range marks the beginning of its Exceptional Single Casks journey, which encompasses four distinct, yet complementary ranges – Provenance, Premier Barrel, Old Particular and XOP – all meant to showcase the wide variety of flavours throughout Scotland's whisky regions. Auchentoshan is an iconic Lowland malt, and only 346 bottles of this 6 Year Old single cask were released. A malty nose backed up with cooked apples and vanilla. The palate has orchard fruits, honey and baking spices. The finish is like butter cake but with lemon citrus and a touch of dark brown sugar. Delicious.
