Established in 1948, Douglas Laing & Co is an independent bottler based in Glasgow. This is part of its Remarkable Regional Malts, a range of blended malts aimed at showcasing the remarkable qualities of each Scotch region's malt whiskies. This particular bottling, however, was created in celebration of the indie bottler's 70th anniversary – a 10 year old blended malt made from whiskies produced across ALL of Scotland whisky-making regions! A nose of orange sweets, liquorice and honey. The palate has butterscotch, peppery peat smoke, chocolate and brown sugar. The finish has citrus and some sea salt. A truly remarkable malt indeed.
