The first scotch to be given a royal warrant, by King William IV, hence it is known as "The King's own Whisky". A lot of the distillery's whisky goes into the Dewar's blend. This single malt is finished in a sherry cask, the 12 year old being in a Oloroso Sherry cask. A biscuit-ey nose with ginger, toasted almond and green apple. The palate has a rich buttery-ness similar to Pain au chocolat, baking spices and vanilla cake. The finish has touches of chocolate and fruit. Enjoy with a drop of water.
