PRODUCT INFORMATION
A double matured Coal Ila here. Having spent many years in their standard casks, this Islay malt have been finished off in Moscatel casks. Moscatel is a sweet sherry wine. This imparts a lovely sweetness which counters the salinity found in the malt. On the nose wonderfully concentrated and clean, peaty, medicinal, with rich fruit, spicy and fragrant. The palate offers sweet maltiness strike first, then overwhelmed by peat smoke, intense, crisp flavours, and cinnamon spice. A long complex finish.
