Elements of Islay is a small batch release from the lovely guys over at Elixir Distilling. Using a simple code, you can see which whisky is bottled and which batch. Peat is a celebration of the wonderful style that Islay has. Combining the fresher medicinal north with heavy smoky southern style, this is a great tribute to the island. Coastal smoke, with hints of fresh lemon and caramel on the nose. The palate offers minerality at first, with sweet orange and white chocolate notes developing. Peat smoke remains a constant feature. The finish is big with sea salt and malt.
