The Balvenie 30 is a marriage of traditional casks (American white oak) and European Casks (that previously held sherry) to create something sublime. Previous versions have picked up many awards including Best Speyside Single Malt at the World Whiskey Awards 2013. A complex nose with a gentle development of floral honey. Nutty and oily with allspice a plenty. The palate is rich and sweet honey vanilla, a dry nuttiness and faint smoke. The finish is long and honeyed. Outstanding.
