Michter's heritage harks back to America's first whiskey company, making some of the finest single barrel and truly small batch whiskeys around. Unlike bourbon, which has to use new charred white oak barrels, Michter's American whiskey is aged in barrels that have been soaked in whiskey. On the nose, there is a pronounced sweetness of candid fruits. charred barrels and stone fruits, peaches mainly. The flavour - fruity and gentle sweetness, with caramel, vanilla, oak and toffee/butterscotch. Very easy drinking. with a lovely , fading spice finish. Drink this neat!
