Coming out of the best craft distillers from California, this is “A California take on the Japanese spin on Scotch whisky." says Lance Winters. He is the man behind many of the great spirits coming out of the St George. This is a whiskey made from 100% American Barley. Once distilled it is aged in ex bourbon and French oak wine casks. It is then filtered through maple charcoal. After that it is finished in barrels that once held Umeshu. The umeshu is made from local plums and made by St George also. The name 'Baller' comes from the drink Highball, simply a whiskey and soda. Definitely the ideal way to enjoy this product  The palate has lots of fresh citrus, grapefruit peel,  and orchard fruit skin also. The palate has lots of grain notes, with tropical fruits, think mango and grapes. The finish is very apple-y.
