This Japanese whisky is a blended whisky. A non age statement with the malts coming from Yamazaki and Hakushu and the grain coming from Chita. They use 5 different oaks for the ageing. The whiskies are blended together to create this harmonious blend, Hibiki is one of the most awarded whiskies in the world and this entry level stands up to the hype. The nose has red berries, apples and touches of honey. On the palate, the oak spice lingers behind honey, sandalwood and a buttery richness. The finish is sublte long, with brown sugar and hints of citrus. Enjoy on ice or as a highball.
