Yamazaki were the first Japanese whisky distillery and they are the number one brand for Japanese whisky. This non age statement has had whiskies aged in several different casks, including red wine, and Mizunara. This has led to a fruity whisky that is ideal for mixing. Lots of red fruit on the nose, think strawberries and other dried fruits. The red fruit flavour is apparent on the palate, but not huge as the oak casks start to shine through. White peach and spice also present. The fiinish is long with vanilla and cinnamom. Enjoy over ice or in a classic Highball.
