Part of the Wood Finish series from Douglas Laing. The independent bottlers are experimenting with lots of different casks and this one, from France, is a wine cask. Rivesaltes is a sweet wine made from all the Grenache grapes and hails from the south of France. 546 bottles of this whisky were released. The nose has lots of honey, pear drops, oats and dried fruit. The palate has lots of citrus, with dried fruits like prunes, dates and apricots. A long creamy finish with lots of nuts.
