When it comes to Islay single malts, you don't get bigger than Lagavulin 16, the flagship expression from Islay's most iconic distilleries, and much loved to due to its sweet salty flavour and intense peat. Many consider this to be the benchmark standard for Islay whiskies. A nose and palate of smoke and peat! Rich and luscious, with fruity sweetiness and coastal sea air. Thick and rich on the tongue with big oak. The finish lingers for a long time with the smoke still there even after its long gone. A truly fantastic dram.
