A super premium rum from Matusalem, who have been making rum since 1872, originally in Cuba, now in Puerto Rico. The rums are made using a Solera system, using hand selected barrels that are re-charred and toasted to give the rum its unique timeless flavour. The solera 7 is great in mixed drinks, but can also be sipped neat! On the nose sweet spices, barrel char and caramel, lovely fruit notes as well. On the palate vanilla and honeyed sweetness. Brandy butter and crème caramel, mixed fruit peels. The finish is enjoyable with spice and fruit peel.
