This rum hails from Panama and is brought to us by The 86 Company, set up by bartenders to produce spirits for bartenders to use in cocktails. This rum made from molasses is aged for 7 years in ex-bourbon barrels. The result is a rum that can be sipped on its own, but just as good in a cocktail. Nutty, fruity and touches of toffee on the nose with hints of nutmeg. The palate is very similar to the nose, but now we have the addition of mint and eucalyptus. The finish is dry and spiced with mint lingering on.
