Created by famous bartender Simon Ford, this is a gin made by bartenders for bartenders. With nine botanicals sourced from all over the world and a traditional London dry gin base of juniper and coriander seed, it also goes through a 15 hour steep before distillation, which releases all the oils, and adds weight and viscosity to the gin (the higher ABV also helps). The gin is designed to be mixed and is versatile enough for both simple Gin and Tonics and more classic drinks such as a Martini or Bee's Knees. Each batch of the gin is not only tasted neat, but also in cocktials, to ensure that each botanical shines through. This makes Fords a great all rounder gin. With multiple awards and accolades, Fords is a must-have in any bar. There is a big citrus and juniper nose, which translates on the palate. With the backbone of spice and soft mouthfeel, you tend to forget it is 45% ABV. The finish is that of a classic London Dry ; citrus, juniper, spice, and everything nice. Pairs perfectly with East Imperial Tonic Water.
