With the advent of the Golden Age of Cocktails, we have seen a rise in premium well-made and superbly flavoured syrups and liqueurs, which Giffard have been producing since 1885. The Creme Banana liqueur is made by macerating bananas from Brazil slowly with alcohol in the form of a puree , which is the best way to extract the flavours. Then, some Cognac is added for body and depth and complexity. Lots of tropical notes of fresh, ripe and dried banana. A buttery palate of banana conserve, puree and roasted banana. The cognac adds faint raisin notes and length. A great banana liquid, delicious over ice or in a stirred drinks. Try it in a Manhattan!
