With the advent of the Golden Age of Cocktails, we have seen a rise in premium well-made and superbly flavoured syrups and liqueurs, which Giffard have been producing since 1885. Using several types of vanilla with grape alcohol, this 20% liqueur has a multitude of uses – not only in cocktails and simple mixed drinks, but also in desserts and coffee. The vanilla flavour is obviously ever-present, but once you get past that, pine tree and menthol notes can be found. Sweet and vanilla on the palate, but a more complex, rich taste of creme patisserie. Gorgeous finish of spiced vanilla, caramel and nuts.
