Many proponents of whiskey (and other grain distillates), tend to emphasize the importance of water. After all it can make up 60% of the total volume. Martin Miller's, uses some of the cleanest water there is, which means shipping the distillate to Iceland to be mixed with its water and a small amount of cucumber distillate. The cucumber is there for a dry finish, not as a larger separate flavour, though this does make it ripe for a G&T with cucumber as a garnish. A citrus nose with spice form the coriander and cardomom. The creamy mouthfeel with the more pronounced juniper on the palate make this delicious to drink. The subtle hint of cucumber adds the dryness, but also a touch of freshness.
