Like the London dry, this goes through a lengthy production process. The grain spirit is re-distilled with juniper, cardamom and coriander and then combined with macerations of citrus fruits. These fruit have been macerating for 1 year, before being blended and distilled and then blended again with the base gin. Finally, everything is left to macerate with strawberries and raspberries. The result is a gorgeous sweet gin with lots of fruitiness and a beautiful pink hue. The nose has lots of fresh citrus and berry fruit. The palate is similar but now the juniper and spice play more of role. Lovely gentle finish of berry sweetness and dry spice. Perfect in a G&T with fresh sliced strawberries. Perfect in a G&T with East Imperial Old World Tonic and garnished with fresh sliced strawberries.
