Made in Vietnam, Paper Lantern Gin takes its inspiration from all over Asia. The juniper comes from cooler climates, but everything else is 'local'. They use a rice spirit base, which they distil themselves; and 8 botanicals, including ginger, galangal, Sichuan peppercorn and lemongrass. Once distilled the gin has a touch of local longan berry honey. The gin has a floral nose of ginger, lemon and lemongrass, with the spice coming in after the initial juniper pine. A sweet finish of honey and spice. Best use in a Bee's Knees, the founder's favourite cocktail. For a great G&T, use East Imperial Yuzu Tonic and garnish with Pink Grapefruit and Kaffir Lime Leaf as a garnish.
