Considered by bartenders to be their 'ketchup' ... meaning it goes with everything! Launched in 2007 and coming in a beautiful art deco-inspired bottle, St Germain is wonderful Elderflower Liqueur. Made once a year in the summer using hand-picked elderflowers, it is said that 1000 flowers are used for each bottle. There is a short 3-week window in which all the flowers have to picked. They are then carefully macerated in a grape distillate, and then mixed with sugar water and alcohol. A floral nose with stone fruits peeking in (think lychee, peach and pear). Syrupy texture and palate with delicate elderflower, pears and peaches, but beautifully balanced with lemon zest and citrus. Long lingering finish of elderflowers, balanced by touches of citrus. Bottled at 20% ABV, this is the perfect low ABV product for cocktails and highballs. Try it in a St Germain spritz!
