The founder of Compass Box, John Glazer, set up the company in 2000 because he felt too many people were selling whisky the same way. Thanks to his belief that blending creates something greater than the sum of its parts, Compass Box is now regarded as one of the great blending houses of the modern age. Their whiskies are all non-chill-filtered and without added colouring, regardless of whether it is a malt or grain whisky. This bottling is done in conjunction with Delilah's owner Mike Miller. Delilah's is a renowned punk rock bar in Chicago which has a whiskies from all around the world. These are meant to be drank. This edition takes some of the original bottling, which has now spent another 5 years on Oak and blended it with some Sherried whiskies. The aromas are nutty, fruity and sweet. The palate is sherry and spice, plenty of clove and ginger, with layers of chocolate and praline. Lot of fruit on the medium length finish.
