Gaspare Campari created this vibrant red bitters in the basement of his Milan shop in the 19th Century. Over time, his product became world famous and is an essential component in a number of famous cocktails, including the Negroni. 68 herbs and spices are used to make this unique product, resulting in a very rich and complex liquid that is great when taken neat or used in cocktails. It has a very fruity aroma with lots of citrus – after the initial bitter taste, this opens up to lots of fruit and sweetness. A long intense finish with vegetal notes. Superb!
