Christian Drouin is famous for making Calvados, and with Calvados AND gin consumption on the rise, it's natural that they would create a gin using apples. 30 varietals of cider apples and 8 botanicals go into making this delicate flavoured and aromatic gin. Rose, ginger and vanilla are the unique botanicals, which are chosen to compliment the flavours and aromas of the apples. Each one is distilled individually then blended together, which is done for every batch. Each distillate is used to enhance the apple flavour. Crisp and floral on the nose with hints of citrus and a touch of sweetness. Subtle ginger and juniper with hints woody spice come in the palate, as well as the softness of apple. Le Gin, in a giant balloon glass, East Imperial Burma Tonic and slice of apple with ginger makes for a great G&T.
